It was quickly closed and marked as a duplicate of BUG-3694, which is not viewable by the public. Elijah Linden was really nice (and helpful) and asked if I could submit a bug report - since it IS a bug with the SL and compatible viewers and must be addressed by Linden Lab, not Adobe. I submitted a customer service report because I like to have a paper trail before submitting a JIRA.
